Ownership of the work
Taiko's source code, artwork, written material and game data are the property of Engo, Ltd and the Institution. Work produced for the Institution by employees and contractors is the Institution's property under the relevant agreements.
Taiko is an independent implementation. Its rules were established by observing and testing the behaviour of the original game and writing the results down with citations; no original code, artwork, data files or assets were used.

Taiko uses open-source software. Licences and attributions are listed in the application's credits.
