Taiko
An interstellar turn-based strategy game, in development.
Taiko is a strategy game about exploring, settling and contesting a galaxy over hundreds of turns. It is built by Engo, Ltd, part of the Institution, and is in active development.
There is nothing to play here yet. The game is being tested internally, and this page exists so that the people who will eventually play it — and the registrars, stores and services we depend on — can see plainly who is behind it.

About the game
Taiko is an independent implementation of the kind of turn-based space strategy that Stars! defined in the 1990s: simultaneous turns, deep economic and technological systems, and games measured in months rather than minutes. Its rules were established by testing behaviour and writing the results down, not by using any original code or artwork.
